Wildflower Spirit Journey

I'm on another Wildflower Spirit Journey...
We’re visiting our bush block in northern NSW, 100 acres of off-grid living… solar with a rainwater tank and small container-home. I love going down to the seasonal creek with my gumboots on and exploring! I’m about to go gathering wild raspberries. I found them yesterday and still trying to work out if they’re Atherton or Rose-leafed raspberries.
I’m also going to gather some lemon-grass from our old house site, a stubborn survivor from the 2019 fires, along with the bottlebrush and the banksia we planted. I’m delighted to see the old kurrajong, my favourite tree-friend native to this block, has also survived.
I’ve been gathering flower essences and ‘talking’ to plants for almost three decades now. I use the essences in my naturopathic blends, my Aura Sprays and during my healing consults. The spirit of the plants I befriend often come to help me as spirit guides (very much like animal spirit guides), during healings. I just did a healing for a client overseas and stretched my senses outwards, listening for a guide to help lead the healing, and had a vision of a five-petalled small pink flower, along with a general sense for what direction to walk in…. North-west, up through the small orchard we planted a few years back, past the finger lime and the Tahitian lime, and there I found a small four-petalled pink flower. “Pick me!” came the emanated call, a psychic shout of enthusiasm clustering in around me on all sides like a warm hug. But only four petals…. I scouted further and a couple of meters away, south west, I found them! My five-petalled pink flowers.
On closer examination, using my iridology camera for close-up viewing, I suspect these may be variations of the same flower. After forging a psychic connection, I went back to my computer at the camp site and began to write, waiting for the channelled healing to come through. My body was there at my laptop but my spirit was with the five-petalled flower, ‘sitting’ in front of it, with the four-petalled one behind me holding space.
The healing that came through was private for my client… but now I’d like to gift myself and you - all of us - with some channelled wisdom from the flower-spirits. Sending my senses out, I find a yellow flower, a wee goodenia I remember seeing on the overgrown track leading from camp down to the creek. I’ll take a photo when I go raspberry gathering so you can ‘meet’ it too.
“Is there someone you have left out of your heart?” says the goodenia, gently scooping its petals through connective fibres in our auric heart, lifting them up to see what’s hidden behind. “Is there someone you have left behind, a person once dear to your heart who has fallen by the wayside, a little forgotten and neglected?
“Perhaps this is an inner self, an old friend, or a family member; someone who was more in alignment with who you used to be, but somewhere along the way, with all the changes, the traumas, the shedding of old skins, the riding of tidal waves that sweep through our lives from time to time… someone went missed, got lost, become stranded, abandoned and left waiting by the wayside. And now it’s time to loop back around and pick them up.
“And I want to say to you, that if it’s too late, if a loved isn’t here anymore or there’s someone you can’t mend bridges with, please find a way to honour the loss and fill that space by reaching out to someone in need and lending them some warmth, some light. It’s never too late to begin again, and start as you mean to go on. What have you learned about the value of friendship? And how can you honour this insight and wisdom in practical ways in your life?
“Don’t let regret or ego harden your heart against the losses lest the walls inside you instigate yet more loss. Open your heart to love!”
In my mind, I see the pink flowers I worked with earlier today applauding this message, and goodenia taking a bow, with a psychic rainbow of healing light stretching out overhead as a blessing to all those who read these words.
